Cream City Garden Events

Nestled between some of Walkers Point's beautifully restored historic buildings, this gated secret garden offers a lush park-like environment featuring several varieties of trees, seasonal blooms, a grapevine arbor with small koi pond, and the warm glow of  Milwaukee's iconic Cream City Brick. From private celebrations to business retreats, and elopements to intimate weddings, Cream City can help you plan every detail of your event. The garden can host up to 40 people for a party, cocktail reception, or intimate wedding. If you’d like to host a sit down or buffet dinner, seating capacity is 20. You and your guests will have full access to the garden, indoor gallery and restroom. Photographs can be taken in several areas of the garden or gallery featuring different backgrounds. Cream City Garden and Gallery is available for rent Memorial Day Weekend through mid-October.

Food Service

When it comes to food service, we offer a variety of options including BYO, recommended caterers, food trucks, or food platters.

• BYO – You are welcome to bring in your own catered food, snacks, desserts and beverages. If you do bring your own food and beverage and need help with set up, service, and clean up, there is an additional fee. 

• Recommended Caterers – We work with some of Milwaukee’s finest caterers and are happy to recommend one to you or help coordinate your food service with the caterer you select. Caterers can simply drop off food for your event and our team will set out platters or chafing dishes, or you can hire their teams to pass hors d'oeuvres, set up a buffet or provide sit down service.

• Food Trucks – The gates to Cream City Garden can be opened to provide access to some of Milwaukee’s best food truck vendors. Cream City has a list of over 50 food trucks with everything from BBQ and Mexican, to Soul Food and Belgian Waffles. Two different food truck staging areas are available, should you want to offer your guests variety. Guests can order their fare and bring it back into the garden or gallery to enjoy.

• Catered Platters – We don’t prepare the food, but we do have a respected local vendor which offers an extensive selection of  elegant food platters we can order for your event and present in buffet style for you and your guests to enjoy. You can request platters featuring fruit, veggies, deli meats, appetizers, sandwiches and petite desserts.

• Bar Service – If you’re looking to serve alcoholic beverages during your event, Cream City can recommended a licensed bartending service who can provide you with everything from wine and beer to signature cocktails.

Garden Accommodations

• The garden is available Memorial Day Weekend through mid-October. 

• Access to the garden for decorating is available the day of the event.

• Limited tenting is available if inclement weather is predicted. 

• Tables, chairs and basic linens for up to 20 guests are included in the garden rental fee.

• Cream City’s coordination of any food, beverage, décor and entertainment services is extra.

• Rental fee of the garden is based on the number of hours with guests in the garden and additional services selected.

• Garden and gallery rental starts at $1,199 for three hours which includes an hour before and after for set-up and clean-up. Additional hours may be added at $499 per hour. 

• Wi-Fi and electricity is available to accommodate musical entertainment.

• Garden events must conclude by 10PM.

 Elopement & Wedding Services

All ceremony packages offered do include a licensed officiant who can plan and perform your ceremony.  Package upgrades include photography coverage, a photo album or video, floral for the wedding couple, plus travel to any  location of your choice in Metro Milwaukee to have your ceremony.

• Licensed Officiant. One of Cream City’s licensed officiants will help you plan and prepare for your ceremony with standard or custom vows and any special readings or ceremonies you would like to feature within your wedding ceremony. The officiant will perform your ceremony in the garden, gallery space or select location, and mail in your completed marriage license. This service alone starts at $499.

• Beautiful Photos.  No wedding is complete without beautiful wedding photos from which to remember your special day. A professional photographer will document your ceremony and spend some time with you, family and friends, after your ceremony, to create a beautiful set of portraits. All of your digital photos will be posted on your own personal web gallery and you'll receive a download code to access and archive all of your photos. This service alone starts at $399.

• A Courtyard Garden. Cream City's unique courtyard garden is lush with evergreen trees and perennials, a grapevine arbor with a small koi pond and fountain, set against a backdrop of Cream City brick. You may even spy a chicken or two grazing in the garden! The garden can comfortably seat up to 40, plus you'll have access to the gallery and restroom while on site. A tent is available for inclement weather. Garden rental starts at $499 for one hour.

• Additional Options.  To help make planning your intimate event even easier, Cream City offers a seasonal bouquet and boutonniere for $149, mini wedding albums starting at $99, wedding video starting at $699, additional hours of photo or video coverage for $299, and champagne toast and cocktail reception packages starting at $399. 

Wedding Ceremony Packages

The Elopement - Say your “I dos” in a beautiful “secret garden” or inside the comfort of a Historic Walker's Point building, featuring a cozy eclectic gallery space. You’ll delight in a short 20 minute heartfelt ceremony. This service is offered Tuesday, Friday or Saturday by simply reserving your time slot online for just $199. Or, secure a custom time and date for $299. Guest limit of 4, with two witnesses needed to sign the marriage license.

The Cream City Micro Wedding - Take advantage of all Cream City Garden has to offer with this package. A licensed officiant will provide a customized ceremony showcasing your personalized vows during this 40 minute celebration in the garden or inside the studio. Plus, a photographer will document your ceremony and create keepsake portraits. All of your digital photo files will be included and accessible with a download code to a personal web gallery.  And if you choose, at the conclusion of your ceremony, following the big kiss, you can toast your new partner with a cold complimentary micro brew, courtesy of our neighbor Urban Harvest Brewing. This customized event package is just $699. Guest limit  20. 

The MKE Minimony - From the lakefront, to a local brewery, to Cream City’s secret garden, you can choose your favorite Milwaukee location to exchange your vows with the one you love! This one hour package includes a custom written ceremony conducted at the Milwaukee location of your choice, plus photography coverage including candids and keepsake portraits. All of your digital photo files will be included and accessible with a download code to a personal web gallery. This package, also, includes a beautiful seasonal bride’s bouquet and matching groom’s corsage, a champagne toast to the newlyweds, a Wedding Brag Book and a Cream City Swag Bag. Guest limit is based on the location you choose and location permits may be required. All the key details are attended to with this complete package for only $1,499.
